Out of curiosity. How would a company view a potential candidate who has a period of unemployment to study for the CPA. I have approved I-140. Indian nationality so priority date not close to current. If I switch employer, does my employer need to apply for PERM and i140 again as soon as I join, to get H1B extensions?

Scenario: US visa expired in 2021. Applied for a Canadian tourist visa to hopefully go for H-1B stamping in Canada once they open appointments.
Biometrics completed. Haven’t received any comm regarding my tourist visa approval. My partner already revived the visa long ago even if we allied together. Could it be because my US visa has expired? The reason I gave for applying for visitor visa was just for tourism purposes.

What are the potential risks I need to keep in mind for this change. (Mostly switch to another B4).

How much time does it take to get i-140 approved under Regular processing? Firm saying no for applying under premium processing. Giving me an option to self-pay premium processing fee if I want $1410
