I’m looking at similar roles. Most software companies are moving towards partner friendly/channel growth strategy and away from doing their own Professional Services. This means people with experience working for GSIs are really valuable in this space. I’m very high on these types of roles and think they’re only going to continue to appreciate in importance
Also- they pay well. I think a 70/30 comp plan with OTE of 250-300K is pretty standard for most Alliance/Partner Sales Manager roles, with tons of upside and bonus multipliers if you have a big year

I think it’s a trend at least in accounting/tax, think about how many SaaS type of softwares which are well received industry these days, Anaplan, TM1, Hyperion etc. But not sure about sales type of roles
Yeah I have an offer for customer success manager at qualtrics and no idea how to evaluate it properly (it is a pay cut)
I’d recommend asking about commission excelerators and sales goals versus existing business. Ask if it’s a net new role due to growth or if the last person quit Customer success manager can be a tough role too, often the person putting out fires and dealing with post sales client complaints.
Great gig. Lucky you. You will be doing high profile deal making with ton of exposure to senior leadership and multi $mm sales motions. Has nothing to do with customer success which is a vastly inferior role. Also alliances has been the primary inorganic growth level in tech b2b for ever. Jack pot buddy
