Sounds fantastic
Exactly brah
It’s brilliant - your comp won’t change, either downwards or upwards! Then when you quit we can hire somebody new with the same gimmick, but at a lower price!

My company is similar, but haven't opened up to any place. They're still figuring out taxation, and some places are off the list.
Rising Star
Other companies need to copy it word for word. Short, simple, effective, and to the point.
As a remote traveling worker I think this is amazing!
I’m curious how they’ll actually execute it and if the reality will live up to their promise. It’s a good fit for their brand and I’m sure they’ve figured out a way to make this profitable for them long-term (if it wasn’t, they wouldn’t be doing it). I’m skeptical any time a company makes a fantastical statement like this but we’ll see.
Very smart remote work policy! I think it gives them a great advantage for implementing diversity/inclusivity, while also looking very significant.
Same policy at Evernote
This breaks ceilings. Think of the pay gap between US and non-US salaries. One will weep injustice.
"You can move anywhere in the country you 3. work in and your compensation won’t change" -- Wow. The whole policy sounds fantastic for someone who prefers WFH, and this, in particular, is big, IMO.
Frankly, I don't believe "work from anywhere" policy. Will they even let their employees working from embargoed countries like Cuba, Venezuela, Russia, etc? I doubt it.
To be fair, Cuba would be on my list of countries to remotely work from, if it was possible. Amazing place, amazing people.
A couple things to consider with this policy: 1. Will relocation expenses be reimbursed or is that completely on the employee going forward since being in the office isn't mandatory? 2. Who is responsible for the costs of home office infrastructure such as monitors, desks, and internet service?
Mostly same policy at GitLab
Way to go!
That's the way to lead with the new hybrid work force!

Well I’d hope the company competing with hotels and VRBO would allow people to work anywhere- the real question is: can you get a discount on a long term air bnb with this work policy lol
one of the benefits is a $2000/year airbnb credit ( $500 quarterly)
Did Airbnb already pay uniform comp across the US? If not, seems unfair to people who were already based in lower comp locations if their SF/NYC based colleagues can now move there but still be paid substantially more.
Don't get me wrong, this is awesome and kudos to Airbnb for such an employee-friendly approach. Just wondering how the "your comp won't change" thing will work in practice.
