Bain & Company I have a second round with Bain & Company coming up at the DC office for Experienced Consultant role. Excited, but hella nervous. Recruiter said it’d be 3 separate interviews, all with Partners; 2 case, 1 fit. About 40 mins each. First round was 2 case interviews with Sr. manager & Associate Partner. Been a rough year, so definitely looking forward to this opportunity. I’ve been on the site and going through preparation and materials. Any advice or suggestions welcomed!
Hi fishies, I am currently working as a Manager at Accenture for one of their MDM project. I have received an offer from Axtria. I have asked for 40% hike on my current CTC. There is no WLB in my current project, hence considering Axtria. If someone can help me understand the work culture in Axtria especially in BI segment.

I can only speak from the McCann/A23 side of things - the two agencies are becoming more and more intertwined since Tim Hawkey was made CCO of both, essentially to the point that McCann is basically a conflict shop for A23. A23 people getting staffed on McCann accounts, McCann people being brought over to A23, etc. A23 has a lot of luster, but a lot of the work is everyday pharma just like you'd get at any other health agency. Otherwise, your experience will be very account dependent. I'm mostly staffed on an account that's stressful, but doesn't require that many hours. Some people are on accounts they love, some are stuck with nightmare clients. However, there's a lot of new business coming in to the IPG agencies (Pfizer), so things may well change along with it. We're definitely in a period of transition.
FCB: solid, big, stable, political
McCann: DTC focused good peeps
Area 23: The most creative
Might be brand-specific but my experience with McCann last year was total chaos and dysfunction, I ended up leaving after 4 months (2 of which where I had no boss since the CD that hired me quit shortly after I started).
Stick with an IPG Health agency. I left one for 21G and was back within the year.
IPG agencies have more stability and more established process. I know plenty of happy creatives at 21G, but those two things were important for me personally.
Are these 4 agencies all hiring brand creatives to win awards or writers with science backgrounds?
Both.
21 Grams is known as a sweatshop. Area 23 and McCann merged this week. FCB Health is very account-driven. With the merger, Area 23 is 1200 employees. Like any large agency, it depends on the group and CD you work with. You’re not joining an agency, you’re joining an island within a huge agency. Choose carefully.
