I would choose Strategy&, I believe our comp is higher ($168 MBA base w/ up to 35% bonus) and we are positioned as a strategy firm vs a MC firm, which may leads to better exit ops.
Yes you have to case for all roles under M at least is what I was told
Here’s the thing, does anyone know what D S&O means anymore?
My sense is they have a new op / deployment model. I had a call recently with a Deloitte recruiter. She told me Business Strategy now sits within Strategy & Analytics.
Deloitte’s a great firm, but on a resume it’s less clear where you worked within the broader Big D.
With Strategy& your positioning is much more clear. Agree that the branding has taken time to gain recognition, but I think it has mostly been an awareness problem. The brand will only get stronger with time and success.
In the end, if you’re picking between two offers, go with the firm where you connected best with the people.
In my view, Strategy& never got the market recognition/ branding in broader sense outside of some mba recruiting circles. It’s perceived as PWC which seems behind in gotomarket with newer offerings.
Deloitte with bigger footprint and name recognition in industry. But S& prob gets you way more reps / more opps (and def more $) at having strong bullet points on your resume for exit opps.
Granted I’ve also heard from S& managers that Deloitte is a better place to be now. I work at neither firm btw.
