Thoughts on train travel with a baby? I have $400 in wage works credit that’s expiring from my old job and was thinking of buying an Amtrak ticket. Traveling out of NYC, maybe a weekend trip to DC?

I don’t see why it would be a problem. A little more comfortable than a flight but more or less the same. Bring enough diapers and other supplies and you will be fine.

Did a 3 hour trip to in the UK was a 9 week old. Get a first class seat if it is not that much. First class is well worth it

Get a trip in now. In my experience it's easier to travel before 1yo as they're less demanding: all they need are diapers, food and one or two toys. Any news sights and sounds are entertaining to them, and they'll nap through most of what the adults want to do. Much harder to keep a slightly older child entertained.

Age?

1 month now, but will probably wait another 4 months or so before we actually take the trip
