Tips for an application requiring a writing sample?

I'm applying to a transportation policy consulting group & they want me to include one but idk what to put there. I don't have anything submittable from previous roles & it's been such a long time since I was in school, I don't think I can find anything academic either. It's a pivot but this seems like a great opportunity otherwise & I'm okay writing something for the app but I'm really drawing a blank. The posting had no parameters for me.

I am in my second year as a attorney, I was a FL paralegal before law school and would eventually like to end up there again. I am in a very small rural area, pretty much only solos, and no FL solos appear to be hiring/expanding at this time.

Do you think experience as a DA or PD would be valuable, with my eye toward a future in FL? Both for the skills gained, and/or as a resume piece?

I hope my father dies before my mom. Otherwise he’d consider it my duty to drop my life & move home to cook & clean for him, like my mother does. My mom works full time but is expected to take care of all things in the house, as well as do the accounting for my father’s business. He’s helpless without her, & is a sexist asshole. (IE my mom sprained her wrist and has carpel tunnel but she’s still expected to wash his dishes and he refuses to just buy a dishwasher). Please God, let him die first.
