^terrible advice. Do you think just firing them is easy? I would hear out all of the things they are challenging and think it out rationally.
Depends. Do you want to manage a team or lead them. If you're going to manage, welcome to corporate babysitting. If you're going to lead them, align their goals with yours, get their buy in, and cultivate their progress.
Find out the heart of their message. If it is to learn or improve, explore it. If they're being difficult or genuinely are out of line, follow procedure. I believe only managers can answer this question tho, which I am not.
Guide them into aligning with your goals by making them fee that it's their ideas that are driving the solution or end product...when you give their work purpose and reiterate how important it is then it will improve the quality of their output
Fire them - seriously plenty of people who wants to have their job
First rule, don't annoy your superiors. 🔥
Tell them that you may not be their master, but you define their comp
Take the time to have chats with them over coffee about what motivates their challenges. Do they think that they know better than you and if so, why? Or is it just a case of them wanting to be more involved in whatever process you're working on? Either way, discussion is the best route to resolution. If you're finding their challenges aggressive rather than thought provoking, tell them so and work together to figure out how they can have a productive impact on the team rather than derailing or undermining your authority.
