Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.
What do you think?

I live in LCOL, just finished my 2nd year in audit, accepted a financial reporting role in industry and my new salary is 100K. It’s pretty close to yours and I just have two years of experience.… If I loved Audit and was trying to work my way up, then maybe I’d be ok with it. But if we are just talking salary, you’re under paid considering your years of experience imo. You could easily apply elsewhere and get a big pay bump
Lol I’m definitely not “stuck” & It was just an example. I’m not trying to convince them to come to financial reporting. I’m just trying to say that if you have 7 years of experience & making the same salary as someone with 2 years of experience, then it might be time to move on. You could even go apply to a different big four for the same role and make more money.
M2 Texas $110,000. I agree I could probably go make more money elsewhere but I’ve worked in industry and hated the directors and VP mindset. A few were good but it only takes one crappy one to make everything terrible and most people in industry stay in their positions forever. I like the people I work with and the flexibility my job has at this level. I also don’t want to job hop for just money since I have had a terrible experience in industry before and feel like money is only worth so much when it comes to my life.
M2, core audit, Texas, $118.
M1, $107k
I think that tracks for my lcol/mcol office. I'm Supervisor at 90k, so a 15% raise for promotion to M1 then 10% raise to M2 should put me at about 115k.
For anyone who wants better pay and WLB, DM me
Just promoted to Manager making $95,000 at regional firm
Get out of audit, our s3s in FDD hit over 140. We are all past auditors. Get paid for your project management and financial literacy skills. 5s in audit can do anything, including banking.
M2 - $103k MCOL
M2 HCOL $124,500, on a visa pending my GC so I know I’m underpaid. I brought this up with my boss again last week, definitely speak up and ask for what you deserve 😉
What COL is Miami?
Yeah it is expensive but clients don’t pay much here compared to NY or CA so they can’t pay us high salaries here
M1 MCOL $102
Are these numbers base or TC?
Believe it’s all base
My comp above was base salary. If you are looking for total comp, I’m just under $125k as an M1
My bonus was $13k and negotiated a retention bonus after receiving another offer.
I’m in MCOL (Chicago), at $120. I feel I’m low :/
LCOL M2 I am at $117k
$129k with bonus
I know someone who just went to a regional firm starting at 110k as a SENIOR.
Lol KPMG 3 again with a swing and a miss. 🙄
I’m a supervising senior in LCOL making $104k, your being underpaid.
Thats quite high for a senior in LCOL, congrats!
$116k - M1, MCOL, Top 15 firm
I was 93k as an M1 in MCOL two years ago.
