Negotiating with EY for M/SM Tech Consulting. I have 15 years experience, skills are in demand and my interviews went extremely well. 1. What are the salary ranges for M and SM in NYC. 2. I am told it is only going to be a M now, for my own benefit-no EY network means failure at selling. Whats the highest salary I can negotiate at M. Any other tips will be handy. I have "sold" (support on sales & new roles through relationships) plus I have solid delivery experience. I really want SM 😀😀😀 EY
Hi
I have a current CTC of 6.6 and Mastercard is offering 8.9 (including variable ) . I also have an offer from infosys of 10 ( including variable). Which one should I pick considering work life balance and appraisal. My entire doubt is that will they bring me on market rate after appraisals as currently they are not offering very good hike.

I live in LCOL, just finished my 2nd year in audit, accepted a financial reporting role in industry and my new salary is 100K. It’s pretty close to yours and I just have two years of experience.… If I loved Audit and was trying to work my way up, then maybe I’d be ok with it. But if we are just talking salary, you’re under paid considering your years of experience imo. You could easily apply elsewhere and get a big pay bump
Lol I’m definitely not “stuck” & It was just an example. I’m not trying to convince them to come to financial reporting. I’m just trying to say that if you have 7 years of experience & making the same salary as someone with 2 years of experience, then it might be time to move on. You could even go apply to a different big four for the same role and make more money.
M2 Texas $110,000. I agree I could probably go make more money elsewhere but I’ve worked in industry and hated the directors and VP mindset. A few were good but it only takes one crappy one to make everything terrible and most people in industry stay in their positions forever. I like the people I work with and the flexibility my job has at this level. I also don’t want to job hop for just money since I have had a terrible experience in industry before and feel like money is only worth so much when it comes to my life.
How many years of experience? This makes me feel underpaid with 10 YOE at $120k in Midwest.
SM1- yes, got our raise earlier this summer. Jumped from $115 to $128. Goodluck!
Dang I’m at 162k as a M1 LMAOOOO
162k is much better than my 96k. It’s a struggle to make over 6 figures, literally giving your soul in this field. I hope to make over 6 figures. Be grateful for what you have.
I’m an Audit M1 in the Southeast making $115K
KPMG 3– those cities are in the LCOL bracket for PWC
M1, 5YOE at $105 in LCOL.
M1 at PwC is $105 too
Honestly OP this seems right for an audit M2 in LCOL city, I know the same position in LA makes 125, give or take.
M2,FL, 118k, core audit
Get out of audit and market yourself better
Does consulting/advisory generally pay higher than Audit?
For sure, I’m 2 YOE @ 117k
It appears that PwC is not paying lower than other big4 and around the mid tier firms pay.
$105,000 base as SM :( didn’t realize I was underpaid
BT1 I hope you’re in a VLCOL market, otherwise 105 for an SM sounds like a crime. When I made SM in a HCOL city with PwC I made 129, and I was mad cos I thought the firm is lowballing me.
We all need more money, it’s never enough
M3 at $118k in LCOL
We need more money
I’m in Texas M2 at 116K
I’ve 7YOE but M2 now because I was only slightly fast track during earlier years but that shouldn’t be the reason why I’m paid less to other manager comparatively, if that happened to be the case
I have 6YOE and just started M2 year
Switch to internal audit. S1 is 100 plus way better WLB
Um.. I make 120 as a senior. Get yo money
Am I?
128k M2 in LCOL in IT audit
M3 145k
