Hello everyone, good Morning.
As an upper middle class person, I simply vote republican because generally speaking it's better for my paycheck and investment accounts. While I agree with dems on most social issues (guns, abortion, etc), these simply don't really impact me, so they swing my vote.
I read a piece about a week ago that suggested people are just looking for a party that lets them or makes them feel like they can say and do whatever they want without consequences. So, terrible children.
For a time their home was the Democratic Party. Now it’s the Republican Party.
I think the Republican Party is far more dangerous, especially as we move toward their “voter fraud” enabled permanent majority.
That said, our main problem is that most voters are 💩 individuals.
I voted for Biden but I’m expecting voting for republicans in 2024, just because I don’t think there’s a moderate liberal left. If there will be one, I’ll reconsider. I think radical democrats do more harm than radical republicans
BAH 1 don’t understand your question.
I don’t care about guns or inflation. I am a single issue voter on masks and lockdowns. I am scared the democrats might force business closures and masks again at the drop of a hat and I want to penalize them for what they did in 2020 and 2021 wrt lockdowns.
VP1 - do you think Covid was unknown for children in 2021?
Why are masks (proven to not be very effective especially for children who tend to not wear them correctly anyway) prioritized over a child’s education and social well being?
We are seeing record rates of suicide in teenagers especially girls. School shutdowns were harmful. Why can’t we acknowledge there was a cost?
This is where Dems lose the average voter IMO - basic refusal to acknowledge real world circumstances
Pro
Republicans because at least they can define the word “woman”.
Is modern science just making shit up?

Is this enough motivation?
But WM1 - can you help me? What’s the most economically successful city that’s ran by republicans?!

I’m voting GOP to Stop the Steal, Stop Antifa, Stop BLM and CRT, Stop Kneeling for the Flag and Stop Brandon.
Let's go Traitor Trump!!
Hate democrats more… really politicians in generally. I want to be talking about things that are going to move the country forward instead we’re stuck debating social issues guns, abortions and saying gay.

I agree with CD1.
I would vote for an economy / business friendly candidate with a populist bent.
Democratic POSITIONS favor the working class on the face of it. The POLICIES are terrible and never work the way they’re intended.
I’d rather have someone regressive on social issues but advocates for a better life for the average middle class.
Democrats and Republican politicians are identical at this point. They’re just selling their wares to slightly different crowds and telling y’all to hate each other.
Regardless of what the media tells you, Republican politicians are no more heinous than Democrats. You’ve just bought into the feel good vibes of one side ✌🏽

Nothing tax cuts for billionaires can't fix, naturally
💯 voting against the insane woke movement out to destroy the country and don’t think it can be any worse than current administration. I pretty much feel the same way as Andrew Yang, Michael Shellenberger and other democrats who have left the party.
Pro
Because calling being “woke” insane doesn’t have any implications at all, A1 🙄
Lifelong democrat and while i couldn’t see myself voting for one of the current republican options, I’m not thrilled with the dems or choices Biden has made. They certainly haven’t helped me personally, im not sure if they’ve done great for many others either, and i don’t feel the dem platform right now is super aligned to my interests. Biden’s insistence on dismissing obvious issues until he can’t (like inflation) or blaming problems like gas hikes on others like Putin is surprisingly juvenile and not much better than trump in that regard.
I also wish Biden would care a little more about things like the stock market - as much as i couldn’t stand trump, i have trouble believing he would have let the markets be this shitty for this long. Biden will barely acknowledge that a large swath of Americans are down a ton of money this year with no end in sight.
I stil feel that right now the dems are *more* the sane responsible adults in the room, and would never vote for an incompetent narcissist like trump. But if some Larry hogan or Charlie baker type figure was the nominee, promising a generally socially liberal (within reason) and fiscally conservative platform, I’d strongly consider.

Lmao. The 2000 mules thing was short-lived, Eh K1?
Lifelong republican. Voted for Biden because he wasn’t trump. Would vote for any republican who rejected trump. Since that isn’t happening I either hold my nose and vote Dem or (more likely) don’t vote.
I can appreciate C1. Any true conservative would have called Trump out on all the BS. He simply doesn’t represent conservative values.

I don’t want to vote for Biden but I don’t like republicans self centered, mean and what’s in it for me kind of attitude. They would keep loving their guns until some of them lose their own kids this way

Feel free to replace with a more accurate word if you feel one exists
Voting right wing to show that not every republican is a racist bigot sexist homophobe. I am, but not everyone is.

No on gun violence, yes on inflation, yes on working class. Wage growth, unemployment and manufacturing all improved under the orange man. Also this admin has been shown to be pretty incompetent. Lot of completely avoidable messes they have created. It will depend on who the candidates are, but leaning R.
Trump’s Economy Really Was Better Than Obama’s https://www.bloomberg.com/view/articles/2020-10-30/trump-s-economy-really-was-better-than-obama-s
God I REALLY don't want to vote for Trump, but Biden is doing such a piss poor job.
So I will vote Libertarian. Again.

Libertarians in a nutshell
There is a solid republican candidate in the State of Nevada that dems are scared of because he isn’t on the crazy end and actually makes sense. I plan to support him because as I grow professionally, financially and socially I notice a few things:
Republicans tend to protect the wallet - rightfully so, who works to the high heavens to be taxed into a Medieval-type financial system? They also seem to be heavy into supporting those who are contributing into the betterment of society, neighborhood and community - again not a bad thing. Don’t waste my taxes I pay to help people who don’t give a shit. The bad with Republicans is the deep outward racism, border-line insane rhetoric when outcomes don’t go their way, and the overly Christian mantras - which is why I pause on supporting most republicans. If they fixed that - Republican Party would make 1000% more sense. I wouldn’t vote for all Republicans, but I would have been open to supporting their reasonable candidates a long time ago.
Democrats - as a minority of color, I grew up being taught they are our friends and they look out for us “the people”. While I agree that we have to look out for the less fortunate, I don’t believe I should be taxed to the point I AM LESS FORTUNATE to help people that don’t want to be helped. Help the people who are actively seeking it and grinding to be in better positions - we need them. Before people cry about “the less fortunate” - I was the LESS FORTUNATE at a point in my life. I never did drugs, but I was homeless, family casted me out because I wasn’t understood. I was looked at as a weirdo and “trying to be white” by my surrounding circle of people because I wanted to make money, have a high paying career, become an entrepreneur and be successful. Not because I actually cared to be white… I took the help provided and made a way. I didn’t qualify for most programs because I wasn’t a druggie…but around the country we are seeing that you can’t help who don’t want it. Democrats have it right for looking out for the people, equality, and upholding freedoms and constitution - but the taxation to the high heavens and playing of social games has to stop. People aren’t going for it no more. The pandering to minorities is obvious too.
All and all - both come together at the end of the day to make decisions. My thought, is to vote for the best candidates from both sides - so I’m not hard core with either one. I just want the people who will make the best decisions for everyone. I have zero toleration for any politicians who ignore scholastic validations, human progression, the outlook of our future, sciences, etc;. That completes my TED Talk.
I’m voting GOP because Democrats are hell bent on turning this country into a 3rd world shit hole. They live in fantasyland and think socialism and social engineering is a good thing against all human nature and history to indicate otherwise. They demonize a large % of the population to placate a vocal minority, and care more about image and power than anything else. They have no morals or conscience, lie through their teeth with zero remorse, and are anti-science and anti-life. They have no respect for history or customs or tradition and live only for the current moment with zero thoughts of future consequences.
I’m not saying GOP is perfect, and many can also be described as much of above and worse, but they’re not (collectively as a political party) actively trying to destroy our society like Democrats are.
Pro
Lesser of two evils - nothing more. Whole system corrupt IMHO. (Republicans claims they stand for conservative values - which I hold - although I’m not too sure at times).
Venting at ignorance. Not trying to convince another lost soul.
Might as well vote for dems at this points since republicans don’t do anything. It’ll make things get worse faster and hopefully people will start to fight for the country.

That is a fascinating perspective - truly.
