Also disappointed that the exit interview is really just them telling you to turn in your stuff and not a single question about your experience or reason for leaving.
Mine was def. fact finding. They had concerns about my group
Things I’ve learned from HR & recently resigned staff:
PTO is paid out at the rate in which it was accrued. So if you never dipped below 80 hours, it’ll be paid out at your start rate.
Policy states that you will be paid this PTO in the check after your last check. It’s apparently more like 6-8 weeks.
They say your phone line will be automatically cancelled in 3-5 days if you don’t choose to switch to a personal line. Most feedback I got said they leave it on and forward you the bill. One person said theirs just cut off after 3 months.
So, it’s a good thing to go below 80 hours?
Exit interviews are mostly to assess the risk of your departure
e.g. Are you disgruntled and sabotaging a project, or are you in good with the clients and they'll leave the firm and go wherever you go next, etc
It's rarely about you, it's about their incurred risks from your departure
Good point
...401k, how (and at what rate) vacation is paid out, etc. I found out everything the general IFS folks told me and what is posted is inaccurate.
If anyone has a different experience with how PTO is paid, please share so others can use it to dispute if we get the shaft.
I'm in Texas if that matters
At what rate is vacation paid out? I left this week and haven’t heard about any rate difference?
