When seeking a new role, How many different agencies have y’all had to interview with before being hired? I’m on agency number 6 right now I’m so over it. I know my portfolio is amazing because so many recruiters wouldn’t be reaching out if that wasn’t the case. The process is Mad agggggy.

I currently make 78k at Lockheed but I’m not doing what I’d like to be doing and i felt stuck and after many conversations with my manager and no solution in sight, I started applying elsewhere. I just recently got an offer from a smaller AI company for 95k that I plan to accept. I’m happy to make the jump, I just don’t know how my manager/coworkers will react when I tell them I’m leaving.

Do you have advice on how to interview better with Amazon?

My résumé and portfolio are great, and I’ve been asked to interview with Amazon for 4 different teams now. However, it seems like I’m not making it past the first 1:1 interview. 3 out of 4 have resulted in not the right fit for reasons unknown; they don’t provide any feedback either. Currently scheduling “on sites” for a S&O role in CA. My referrer said they can hire as L5 or L6. Would like to land in the L6 bucket as I’ve heard 5 --> 6 is one of the more challenging promotions.

I’m looking for info on what the real difference is in responsibilities (manager vs IC, cross functional vs focused, etc) so I can focus on checking the L6 boxes during my interviews.

I’m also curious about whether this is something that I should just discuss with my recruiter directly?
