What’s a hot qualification to get at the moment?
How many of you actually work longer than 9-5/6
Also, once you pass probation, it’s 3 months notice period - so you have much greater job security here. Our standard for maternity and paternity leave in the UK is going to blow your mind, and the same for sick leave - there isn’t a cap in the same way. PTO is just called annual leave here, and the base is higher too. You can expect c5k for car (which will be taxed at 40% and added to monthly pay so over a year it’s not going to feel like much), phone is usually paid for and you just get the device. KPMG have a lunch allowance usually, but doesn’t apply now. We don’t get a fitness allowance but there will be certain gyms you get a discount with but you’ll be locked in for a year.
You’ll get a good pension contribution, phone, car allowance as tax on company cars is excruciating in the UK. Depending on the firm there will be a wellness supplement of sorts. Private medical insurance like BUPA. Unlikely you’ll get dental. Cycle to work scheme participation ( you get a bike discounted and drawn off your salary so tax efficient). Life insurance and permanent disability cover.
So yeah you’re gonna get paid less but at least you’ll probably work less hours and not need to worry about what life throws at you, be that children, sickness or someone who wants to fire you
Also free healthcare!
