What D1 and I are saying is either use the points (which don’t change no matter who you are) OR use your corporate discount code if you are paying money for the stay. Those two options don’t crossover, there is no corporate discount for points redemption
Yes, just called the customer service and they said the same.
OP: did you think redeeming points for stay would involve less points needing to be used with the use of a Corp code? *face palm*
Speaking of double points that Hilton offers, does Marriott have that? Bc I never see promotions to sign up for.....(I recently transitioned as a Hilton Diamond member to Marriott)
It’s one or the other. You’re either paying less or not paying. Idk what’s there to be disappointed about. I get that you want to use less points to get nights and double up on value, but I don’t know if the competition offers anything similar to what you’re hoping for. I’d like to get more free nights like anyone else, but that doesn’t seem like it’s something to be disappointed about lol.
Got it, I felt the same initially. Since I’m relatively new to this whole travel consulting stuff
Looks like I irked a lot of Marriott fans. Sorry guys, I'm not known for being an expert in hotels
Not a Marriott fan or foe; seems obvious that reducing your nightly monetary rate with a Corp code wouldn’t help you if paying with points. Just seems obvious.
Note to anyone else in the Big 4 pitching against Deloitte... just show the client this post.
