EM bro - room to grow
Chief
Same money and “less responsibility” seems a no-brainer, no?

Hence my quotes. There’s no sales target for EMs, so it’s just delivery. But, you’re the point person on your project, which could be an absolute bear or only pretty tough.
EM and I don’t think it’s particularly close…

Depends. Are you good enough to make PP? If yes, take the director role. Looking for better exits - MBB

MBB 100%
Given you say EM which is an M role, do talk to people who joined as EM laterally. It can be brutal to lateral hires who have not gone through the usual Associate route.

Which big 4? Director at EY can mean manager i.e. 5 years out of college.
Congratulations! MBB.
Neither both roles are completely brutal. If I had to pick probably EM
EM. Are you ready to jump into sales pipeline?
Safer bet is EM for sure
B4 director only makes sense if you are sure you can make PPM, which may be difficult for a new person
I would go for the director role. EM at McK is the most heavy hours loaded role. Everyone wants always something from you - clients, partners and you need to the work of your team if they underperform. When you are a director, it is a very different type of role. If you applied, probably you know what it is and possibly enjoy sales and business development.
