55K about 8 years ago. Maybe mid 60s now?

All the offers I had in DC were at least 60.

Hardly enough to cover student loans and DMV rent...

$62k

My initial offer was 62k for most places but got an offer for another firm for 68k but didn’t like that firm as much so I was able to negotiate a little bit higher salary because of that.

No

58k two years ago

60k, 5 years ago in HCOL area. I would imagine it’s a couple grand higher now

I’m so tired of US companies hiring remote Canadian employees offering to pay a fraction of the price for the same role.

This is consistent across the majority of the tech companies. While I am looking to exit consulting, don’t want to be paid 50% of what my colleagues would be making across the border.

Hi guys

This question may not be related. However I wanted to know from personal and family point of view how it is like to relocate from India and live abroad .
Let's say Family consists of husband , wife and a kid . I understand we will get good facilities, education, cleanliness , good air etc , however I wanted to check whether people gel up easily in the new environment? Don't they feel loneliness/ difficult to adjust? Do they look for similar asian nationalities to kill boredom?

That 50/50 company then owns 70% of holding company they own all the real estate as a partnership that the original partners are 35/35 and the investors own the remainder.
