Ugh. An actual message I received (and reported). Not censoring the name of the sender since she deserves all the public shaming.

But thanks for sharing, I will connect with her. MBB life is tough and I need dating

I see nothing wrong with that

Agreed. You’re the one in the wrong here, OP

Matchmaking is a business like any other lol. Who cares. Say, no not interested and just move on lol.

likeupliftingsmarthelpfulfunny

There are arguments on both sides but I wonder if it goes against LinkedIn T&C.
I mean I could offer ‘services’ from a client. Would that be considered kosher?

like

Op you are kind of weird for posting this
Why the hate?

likeupliftingsmartfunny

Plot twist:

The OP is the matchmaker in question, hoping thr negative publicity will generate more business for her matchmaking service.

Oh you cunning minx, you.

funnylike

She’s hustling to make a buck. How is this different from the countless others desperately trying to drum up business?

like

I hear ya OP but LinkedIn is such a cesspool anyway now; so she’s simply shooting her shot to drum up a check. BTW, Did you know LinkedIn has a dating app now? No joke.

I mean, she's trying to give you a sugar baby/daddy basically a LinkedIn pimp

funnylike

Just tell her your hourly rate and see what happens. Always hustling 🍯

Can not nock the hustle. If she is making money from this who are we to judge her.

Does anyone else feel that the more content someone puts in their LinkedIn headline, the more full of it they are? I say this as someone with a bunch of stuff lol but at least it’s all at one company and accurate.

I’m talking mostly about two kinds of people. 1. The influencer who is actually unemployed, but lists 25 BS things they do
2. The brand collector, who writes “ex-“ for every former company they worked at and school they went to. Maybe less full of it but still insufferable.

Biggest cringe for me has got to be when people include “ex-<company name>” in their title… see it for loads of the big 4 firms and I’m thinking wow you must love slave drivers that underappreciate you 🤣

likefunny

I woke up today tired.

My work cell was buzzing and then I remembered something.

I forgot to thank the bus driver that dropped me off a few days ago.

I got up and rushed downstairs to find the bus driver.

It was raining outside but I was already running barefoot to the bus stop.

I stood there soaked in my pajamas as the bus approached.

Then, the door opened. The driver got up and shook my hand.

I sat down and started my shift.

I’m the bus driver. Reminder to love and thank yourself.
