Absolutely the opposite of cringe. Clearly you’ve never been through anything remotely close to losing someone close to you. Caregiving is brutal much less losing your husband and father to your children

Truth. Lost my sweet hubs 3-1/2 years ago…it’s devastating loss, especially with young mouths to feed. Shame on the OP for criticizing…all the best to the LI poster, prayers she finds a perfect gig for herself & her family.

In these times, I kinda can’t blame her for giving it a try. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

So you read this:

“I never imagined I would be writing a message like this, and even less asking for help in this way. But today, I am leaning on my network with humility and hope.

AS A MOTHER, I CARRY THE RESPONSIBILITY OF PROVIDING FOR MY CHILDREN, and I have made the decision to pursue a full-time corporate leadership role.”

…and that’s the conclusion you came to?

I feel so sorry for this woman. At his age a large term insurance policy would have cost so little. Now she’s left grieving and financially struggling. Sad all around

like

The only cringe thing I see here is you putting this woman on blast.

The poor woman lost her husband and is trying to take care of her kids during a time of economic instability. Show some empathy dude.

I’m currently unemployed and my wife was diagnosed with cancer a few weeks ago. I haven’t used it yet but I can’t say I haven’t thought about it. In the primary breadwinner and a dad and the pressure I feel right now is unreal.

I feel like working from home has been the death of my dating life. I used to at least go on 4 dates a month, and I was casually seeing a guy for a while. Post covid, I love my work-life balance but I'm never out. I can't meet people sitting at my desk, and I have no local coworkers to pull me out of the house for happy hour.

I am an experienced hire. My case might just take you by surprise. I joined EY GDS 10 months back at 40% hike (leaving PwC) and now Deloitte (DIJV) is offering me 2 level up designation at Manager level with another 40% hike. This has effectively doubled my salary in the last one year bt still I am confused to switch or not considering the amazing bonuses GDS payed off today. Please suggest.

This is the compensation details I received in offer letter. Won't they provide the actual salary break up that contains basic pay, other deductions etc?

I forced my employees to make a fake commercial and take pictures of me proposing - I’m so amazing.

This whole thing is cringe - how proposed after forcing employees to make a fake commercial and attend, calling himself rainmaker, the formatting. Image of the text in comments.

If only he just made a post being excited about being engaged (still not for LinkedIn, but whatever).

Does anyone else feel that the more content someone puts in their LinkedIn headline, the more full of it they are? I say this as someone with a bunch of stuff lol but at least it’s all at one company and accurate.

I’m talking mostly about two kinds of people. 1. The influencer who is actually unemployed, but lists 25 BS things they do
2. The brand collector, who writes “ex-“ for every former company they worked at and school they went to. Maybe less full of it but still insufferable.

like

Biggest cringe for me has got to be when people include “ex-<company name>” in their title… see it for loads of the big 4 firms and I’m thinking wow you must love slave drivers that underappreciate you 🤣

Does anyone think it’s a good idea to beg for a job and put your personal life out there to get sympathy, because that is what I am seeing every day on LinkedIn and then the recruiters and everybody will comment and send the jobs and they will end up with a job or interview the next day.
I’m getting close to the point of doing that because it seems like it is working.
