Do you have the PLI app? Lots of good options in there.
I would start with Practical Law and read some general summaries on discrimination, wage and hour laws, handbook policies, and Texas non-compete laws. The Texas Workforce Commission’s website also has some good Texas-specific information. They have this one publication called “Texas Guidebook for Employers: Especially for Texas Employers” that you can Google to find the 2022 version. It’s written predominantly for employers rather than attorneys, but I found it to be a nice introduction of certain topics. If you didn’t take employment law during law school, you could also perhaps order an employment law study book that’s intended for law students—but I think Practical Law would be a better first option.
