What do you think about the mismatch of labor and employment laws and the modern nature of our economy after the technological boom? Am I the only one who thinks (and am I crazy to think) there are some benefits to workers from the gig economy, and it might be best long term to pass new employment laws to ensure worker protections while maintaining these benefits instead of trying to shove the current gig economy back into the 1960s? I decalred FBP, and the amount got deducted from my salary.
Now I can see I am eligible for some amount under FabP. What is it and when will I get it?

I have a governmental entity client in Texas that wants to offer 6 weeks of paid parental leave for all employees, even those who aren’t eligible for FMLA. After the paid 6 weeks, the employee can choose to continue paid leave using any accrued personal leave.

Texas does not have a paid parental leave statute.
