If your 4 yo likes science or dinosaurs take them to the Perot Museum downtown, it’s an amazing science museum and has a huge dinosaur section. Tons of stuff that’s interactive
I second the Perot museum, we love it 👍

Personally I’d go anywhere but Dallas for a weekend getaway

Crayola Exp. is good, but pricey if you don’t have the annual membership. Perot museum is a good option. I also like Discovery Legoland and Peppa Pig World of Play at the Grapevine Mills mall. The Dallas Zoo is also good. If you come to Plano area, Crayola Exp + Windhaven Meadows Park (free outdoor park), + Stonebriar Mall (has a caroussel) + Shops at legacy West
Yeah I wouldn't stay in a hotel near the Zoo, but Uptown/Plano/Oak Lawn would all be fine
1. Peppa pig, legoland and Sea Aquarium @ grapevine mills mall
2. Crayola exp @ Plano
3. Perot Museum
4. Arboretum
5. Great Wolf lodge indoor water park
Indian restaurants are pretty much everywhere but you will find tons of them in Irving (closer to Grapevine) and Plano.
India 101, India Palace, and Mumtaz are good Indian restuarants.
Anatole would be great to stay with a kid. They have a decent water park at the hotel. Not much in the general area but you’re going to be driving everywhere in Dallas anyway.
I would say:
- Perot Museum
- Dallas Aquarium (there’s another one in Fair Park that may be better for the little ones and less crowded)
- Arboretum and their kids section
- CAMP store is cool and has a Disney experience
- Dallas Zoo is great but it’s 1. Hot and 2. Gets really packed
- drive out to Ft Worth for the Stockyards, feels like a “true” Texas experience
Not sure about Indian restaurants except not that many in Dallas proper. I think the largest concentration of Indian restaurants has to be in Irving - Bollywood theater, tons of Indian restaurants, grocery stores, etc
