I’m in the biglaw hiring process through an outside recruiter. It’s so frustrating because he’s having these conversations with the firm and only paraphrasing the gist of them to me. He says he can’t forward the exact emails. Is that BS? Why can’t I see what the firm is telling my recruiter?

Back in May 2021, I rented a property that had sustained damage during the big snow storm. This wasn't disclosed at lease signing. The home leaked every time it rained, mold was found in the home & the LL failed to make repairs that resulted in me falling down a flight of stairs. Is there any advice for networking into projects when you don’t know many people at the firm yet? I always to help on BD work when I’m on the bench, but it never turns into any billable work.
