I just traveled back from Iran and have a fantastic rug dealer in Iran who would be more than happy to get you set up with a rug. I can send the details if you would like.

My sister spent a big chunk of money on a Persian rug at the advice of a designer. It’s kind of a family joke now 10 years later. It’s a nice rug but the dogs still pee on it.
And yeah I’d be a bit cautious about throwing down a credit card on a website to buy one

My dog once had a stress-related explosive diarrhea. Somehow running in circles on my brand new rug seemed like a great idea to her at the moment… yeah, I don’t buy expensive rugs
Ha I responded before I saw this. Totally get it
I’d suggest checking out chamonixhouse.com That’s where I pick up my decor. Small joint in Rhode Island with some nice taste.
Some of these look just as good as that rug posted above for 100k and I bet most, myself included, can’t even tell the difference

How big is it?

How can someone get married to a person that they only heard their voice?
Same concept.
But who knows, maybe it’s a gift from Aladdin and can fly
Not really. Rugs at that price point are purchased in person and delivered or via a designer.
Exactly what I would have expected
I seem to remember a great money laundering scheme where you sell stuff as a 3rd party on sites like that, but price it crazy high. They probably don’t even have the rug, you get the buyer to pay for it and hand them some drugs or whatever, and the money is washed. Whenever i see stuff for sale with a price totally out of wack, i always think of that.
D1 that’s an interesting point. Wonder if is explains some of the stupidly priced items like bad art I see on eBay.
I have an authentic, handknotted Persian rug (10x12) that is about 80 years old and I bought it for $600. It was definitely underpriced but there are plenty of Persian rugs under 3k. I searched for the perfect one for 8 months every day but it was worth the wait.
Just because it’s on the website doesn’t mean it will sell. Some interior designers might buy more expensive rugs on websites for their clients but I doubt there are people spending more than 10k on rugs.com
Did it tie the room together tho???

Its insane
If you don’t take yourself down to Home Goods and get you a nice rug.
It’s 10/10 got a trafficking victim rolled up in it.
There was someone on tiktok (who used to be on vine) who entered their credit card information as a joke on a $100,000 couch. So yes… there are people who buy shit like that.
