For those who interview what do y’all look for in your interviewees? I feel like when I ever interview for a technical role they’re looking for skills and experience first. But when I interview for a S&O/ functional role they’re looking for more fit, personality, and culture? Though i’m just at the SC level I’m probably wrong.

Just completed two years at D. Joined as an SC after MBA now an M. Cumulative earning in this period was 470k - base + bonuses + tuition + retention. I’d say that’s not bad. I even enjoy the work and am aligned with some partners that do some cool work. That said, my main goal is to make $ and I feel I’m now going to fall behind folks in other firms. I can manage bad WLB for another 5/6 yrs and I enjoy consulting. I think I need to move to another firm. Thoughts on my next steps given my goals?

Have been pinged for a possible role as Director of Operations at a promising looking startup with a 50%% pay increase & equity. It looks like an amazing opportunity.. but my husband and I have just started trying for our first kid, and I'm not sure about leaving the stability and benefits of Big 4, even though I feel like I have run out of career growth here. Has anyone changed jobs at a similar point, or worked at a startup as a new mom, that might be able to share perspective or opinions?

Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? I'm looking for recommendations for two areas: 1) in general laying the groundwork in a startup to have the tools and especially processes in place to scale, and 2) tactical focus on building a SaaS project. I've been promoted into a management role from Dev roots, so need to learn more PM processes to be an effective manager in day job, plus would like to start building my own SaaS solution.
