Was on a call yesterday with a client stakeholder who was relentless and wouldn’t take no for an answer. Telling someone no and not being able to tell them what they want is rough. I communicated clearly what the situation is and my main client - also on the call - understood. I know if someone loses their mind and throws a fit that’s on them and I should move forward, but that soured me and I’ve been in a funk since then. I wonder, is this a sign to find something else? What were signs for you?

As an experienced, SHRM certified HRBP , I would just like some feedback on your opinion of the differences in the roles between an HRBP an HR Manager besides the obvious that the manager should have direct reports. The community is super toxic and I'm looking for a place I can casually ask questions that might seem dumb without being hrangued for not providing an essay proof of the research I've already done. Or some sort of buddy system where I can ping a person of relevant experience those questions. It's better to poke someone's brain for a minute than to spin in circles reading docs/dead end articles sometimes.
