There is no talent shortage of people looking for jobs and ok working in office. Remember how Elon’s move to layoff employees at Twitter serve as the catalyst to the lay off heavy culture we are in now? This move will not only NOT bite them in the butt BUT also serve as a catalyst driving ever other company back to office 5 days a week.
Your problem is you are trying to apply linear based thinking to this. I work with executives and hr leaders of the world’s largest and most admired companies. What I described is where we are headed revenue or no revenue. Elimination of middle management and deploying labor to offshore resources will contribute to it being an employers market for the next few years. This was fun.
