Hi Fishes, Y.O.E 7.5+ years. Tata Consultancy TCS is offering 25LPA including variable pay and everything. So just 15% increment on my current salary since they mentioned I am leaving my current organization within 1 year.
They mentioned 8-12% is VP plus 80k from that salary is paid at the end of each year. Is it a good enough salary for 7.5+ yoe candidate. Also any heads up for the things I should look out for will be really helpful.

Bonus is dependent on your performance (review, utilization, etc.) and firm performance. No such thing as a fixed % bonus for anyone… your call if you want to confront the recruiter, but sounds like a misunderstanding
Recruiting lied, it happens regularly. No productive use in calling her out
Pro
This is a business, you must perform to get a bonus. It makes sense that you need to hit a certain utilization.
Similar happened with me.
As much as the rules on bonuses make sense. It def doesn't make any sense how a Recruiter can outright lie to new hires & everyone in D are okay with that, as if that's the norm
Looks like every recruiter is lying to get us sign the offers. I was told that they only have Con position at my time of how, but I could go for 1st yr promo with my level of Exp & a good performance it would be EASILY possible.
Yep, same happened to me as well.
Utilization is independent from performance reviews. Reviews are about whether you’ve done your job well, utilization is just whether you’re doing your job. I don’t see a discrepancy here.

What do you hope to gain? Play things out. Let's say you confront the recruiter. What happens? You just want to chew out the recruiter for lying? That won't get you anything. You want to demand a guaranteed bonus exception? Hard to pull off, unless you have written proof about the bonus, and even then, they may just say no. So then what? You take your new employer to court? A 10% bonus won't be worth the time, risk and legal fees.
Asking for clarity from more sources is ok, but basically, your options are to sit and take what you get, or get a new job.
