I am a Senior Manager of Software Engineering and lead architect at a small company (was a startup with < 10 employees when I joined, now has > 50). I am the most senior technical person in the company (we don't have a CTO, I report to the COO), even though I only have 4.5 YOE. A year ago I moved to an HCOL area to accept a new position, however, I do not go into the office daily. I just go whenever my team needs to be in office. Was wondering has anyone moved out of an HCOL area to save money on rent and was it frowned upon when your firm found out? With inflation and rent going up I’m considering moving 3 hours away where rent is half the cost I’m paying now.

Hi Fishes I am in a complex situation, please help me out..

I got an offer with TCS and initially selected joining date as Jan 2.. but current org released me in 1 month instead of 3 months.. I asked TCS HR and others for early Onboarding but they didn't respond well..

Company T is paying me way more (twice) than Company B. And I like company T more. However, they want me to start working in February if I get this position. If I end up getting the offer, I will have to quit my internship at Company B, almost immediately after I begin the internship.
