Had a physically abusive ex, who only hit me a few times when he was mad I know he’s an awful person but I loved him SO much and miss him:/ how do I get over this lonely feeling and missing him ?

After nearly a year WFH and being with my family 24/7, I’m not entirely sure we actually like each other. Or maybe they don’t like me being at home. Or they don’t like me. Probably the latter 😞

Is bfs account Contract get extended or they simply release and we get bach to parent (cts), for another project is complete bgv happening or they just handle from their side?

I find it hard to keep it together at school. I was in an abusive relationship that finally lead me to emptiness and emotional trying times. I keep things bottled up about school and home.

6 months ago the woman I love left me after 6 years (pre McK) and I don’t think I’ll be able to recover. I absolutely love my job and it’s the only sense of comfort I have - but I finally realize that happiness truly come from factors outside professional success (atleast in my case)
Idk what makes it so difficult: we never fought, we had everything we ever wanted ($ wise), each family loved each other like their own- hope I eventually recover

I am seeing a guy and having a hard time thinking about him in terms of long term relationship. One thing that bothers me is that he never showers after he comes back from the gym and I told him that I find it nasty. We currently live separately so I don't have to see him after he works out which is a good thing but I can easily see this being a problem in the future. Any tips? And NO I don't want to go to therapy lol

I have a friend who told me he sought treatment for alcohol abuse 6 mo ago. We talk a lot and I try not to judge or ask too many questions about his progress, just wanting to be a supportive friend who doesn’t pressure him. Today I brought him to a very laid back picnic… there was drinking but plenty of non-alcoholic alternatives, and it was a very chill group. Toward the end of the day I noticed him drink something. Should I have confronted and stopped him? Should I bring it up now? Guilty now

How practical is living as a single parent in Europe (scotland/Norway)?

What would you do if you didn’t need money? I have a fair amount coming one day and don’t actually need to work to live a good life (middle / upper-middle class). I work because of this vague notion of “ambition” and because everyone I grew up around is highly competitive and hard driving. I just feel unhappy so often and am wondering what this is all leading to. Scared I’m wasting my life being unhappy / in turmoil cause it’s what my culture wants me to do.

I’m (early30s) about 8 months into a relationship with a 40m. Things are wonderful in every aspect, but he is absolutely atrocious with his finances. I felt it becoming an issue about two months ago. He forgets about auto payments and just generally doesn’t care. I sat down with him and looked at everything and even after talking it out he still continues to stress and it’s now causing me stress. What are some myths you all have heard to figure out if you’re having a boy or girl?

How do I figure out spending with my SO? Initially I was paying for 90% of stuff (no actual bills, just going out). I talked to her and said we need to be more even. She was never proactive. She kind of got offended but we ended on a good note to split things. It went well for a couple weeks but now it's back to normal. She never takes out her card and only venmos me if I send her the request. She lets Venmos sit for weeks before paying them. I still let a lot of things slide.

I'm an engineer, and I feel like my manager is more of a friend than anything else. We talk about our personal lives, and I feel like it's hard to be completely honest with her when she's so casual with me. I don't want to lose our friendship, but I also need to be able to talk honestly with someone who has the power to help me grow professionally. Is there a way to have both?

IBD came to states at 8. My cousins back home are getting arrange married. My parents are starting to pressure me and pity me. But I have no interest in following a "timeline" and am pretty ambivalent when it comes to kids. I already have a SO and do not see a reason to tie the knot just because other people my age are. Hi all. I’m filing for primary custody of my two children and am struggling with what type of time split to say I want in my proposal. I want to have the kids about 70-80% of the time. Does anyone have it where the father has two days/two nights during the week and alternating weekends? Looking for perspective here! I’m worried that my ex is going to refuse to pay child support and take me to court over it. And I’m worried that somehow support won’t be given. In your collective experiences, do judges award child support in 50/50 custody cases if the husband makes more a good deal more income? My ex makes 60% of hhi and I make 40%, but live in a HCOL area so really need support to help pay rent. My lawyer says I can’t make the rent case because I can move somewhere cheaper.
