I’ve heard it is all staff augment work and you’re treated like a 1099 not employee. Health coverage is money to get it on the exchange marketplace.

Feel free to ask any questions.

Like others have said, our culture, career growth opportunities, and even work life balance are starting to slide.

I'd say culture and average project is still better than big 4. Work life balance is still a good bit better.

Career opportunities are worse.

I'd recommend coming over if you get an offer with similar pay and you're in a place in life where you want to coast.

If you want to keep moving up the ladder it's hard to recommend coming over.

I think slalom would be good for parents of young children. Good parental leave and just work here for a few years until they go to school.

Or we'd be good for people 35+ who've hit a manager+ title and are fine with their comp + inflation raises for the rest of their lives

Good insights overall. Appreciate it. I have an interview tomorrow so will return with any specific follow-up questions!

Historically the advantages were 1) getting off the road, and 2) generally good culture. But 1 is less appealing now that most Big 4 folks aren’t traveling weekly anymore, and 2 is less valid now post private equity and reorg. Read the Glassdoor reviews. It seems to be sliding downhill fast.

Pro for me would be west coast decision makers since it’s based in Seattle. Mid-size firms are great for work life balance too

EYrs are to speak. Much of our job is becoming satff augmentation like Accenture

Is there such things as FP&A positions in Big 4? If so, are there better times to make the change than others (I.e. at senior vs manager)? I’m currently in FP&A and looking to work at a Big 4, or another company that offers the ability to move abroad. My current company and many others I know about do not offer the mobility to do so until much later, which is not what I want. Thank you.

Up for an in house position at Big 4 consulting. What is the salary range? Anyone have insight? Anyone have insight on the work life balance?

Hi all,

I'm currently working at Infosys as MSBI developer and looking for opportunity in any of Big 4. I noticed there is a job vacancy for the role I fit in PWC in Linkedin and here to check if anyone could help me with referral.

TIA.

I am a consultant working in one of the big 4. I have got a call from DE Shaw HR for a role in their Project Finance and Investment Research team focusing on Energy sector? Being an MBA in Finance graduate, I am in a dilemna on which path might be better I the long run -consulting (where I am more of a generalist, taking up random asks from clients and onshore stakeholders) or Project Finance & M&A where role might be more specific.

At some Big 4 companies there is a Partner / Principal group that has equity and are part owners of the business and an equivalent Managing Director group that does not have equity and are essentially employees.

How does it work at McKinsey / Bain ? Do those same distinctions exist across partner types, owner vs non owner?

Hi all,

Do firms match offers from other Big 4s for campus hires? I’ve received a campus offer from both
KPMG and EY. I’m more interested in the EY offer, but they are paying 3k less than KPMG.

Would it be a bad move to let them know about the other offer and try negotiating? I feel it wont make a difference in the long run, but at the same time I don’t want to leave any money on the table if possible.

Thanks!

Hello folks,

Just landed as a PR in Canada a month back.
Been interviewing for front end dev - 5YOE. Had been with Deloitte USI as a Consultant back in India. Applying for big 4's and tech firms but seems like they have been taking forever to review the applications (2-3 weeks now for few since applied!)

Have one offer from CGI as Sr.Con for 105k. Does anyone know how good/not good is CGI in terms of work, culture, WLB, perks?

Would appreciate any help in getting referred as well! Thank you

I'm about to join EY GDS SAT team as SBA - Strategy. Not from a big 4 background but from business research background.

What type of work can I expect day in day out, culture and most important the tools I'll be working upon. As in my current role we don't have exposure to tools a lot.

Any important skills one should have to excel in this role,
In my current organization there is a mandatory training culture with respect to role one is hired for. Does EY has something Similar?

Thanks!
