Public speaking: learn how to present in front of people, especially people that have power/influence over your career (clients and bosses).

Other: Focus on the little things. If you walk in a room, greet each person, ask for their name if you don’t know them, shake their hand. I’ve noticed the majority of people (especially younger people) don’t even greet each other anymore, to the point when someone does, it’s can literally change the tone in a room.

Communication! So many people prefer "keep communication open" and like status updates!

And if there's a problem, it's usually a "communication" problem so you better address that! 🤣🤣🤣

I’ve been an Admin Assistant for 5 years with the last 2 in a government. I have worked hard to get here thinking this is what I wanted. Now that I’m here, making 40k CAD/yr. I feel like I’ve hit a glass ceiling and I’m desperate for more money and responsibilities - my job is way too easy. But not many opportunities for growth. Any suggestions on where to go from here?

Service design seems a popular role in consulting in the past year or so, certainly seeing more grads go down this route. Is there much overlap with business analysis? When I’ve worked with service designers the output seems to be another version of a process map, are there other skills and experience needed? I’m wondering how easy a move would be from business analysis to service design...

Hi, where or what types of companies should sophomores & juniors apply for next summer (2022) to recruit for IB the following summer (2023)? This summer BBs wrapped up SA IB recruitment, EBs even earlier, and a fair amount of my friends missed out big time.

Also, if a sophomore or junior doesn’t get a finance-related summer internship (I.e tech) and aims for an IB SA or FT position, is it harder to break in?

Appreciate any advice and insight, thank you.

Hey Everyone, please suggest some good online courses on People Management, Handling Data and utilising Data to bring out best results. Basically, any core aspects i can learn as a Business Development Manager that can help me grow in my career. I don't hold an MBA and hence feel a bit left back.

Currently I'm working with a B2B Company handling procurement pain points by functioning as a aggregator and developing SAAS products to make the supply chain cycle user friendly.

Any help would be appreciated.

My current tech stack is Microsoft Powerapps, PowerBI, Powerautomate administration.
But when I search to switch jobs in the same, the options are very less. Why? Can anyone suggest? or, what exactly should I search for related jobs?

Should i change my domain? or, Should i study something else in the same domain to get jobs???

I feel like every company lies about “working your way up.” You’re never allowed to blatantly say that you don’t like your position and you’d like to transition to HR or Finance. It’s almost as if once you get in claims, you’re stuck.

If you’re a manager and you see an employee that wants to branch out into a different department, why would you keep them boxed in for 2+ years?

Are there some background mechanics that I’m missing?
