Are there any Deloitte penetration testers or managers over the Pentesting team in here? I found a role and I was trying to connect to the right person to help increase my chances of getting viewed for the role and be the lucky winner. Feel free to DM me, I am also prior Deloitte in the Cyber GPS offering. Deloitte

Finally found THE one, after over a year of searching and trying out at least 5 different ones!
A nice comfortable office chair.

My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest
I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.
AMA.

Navigant specializes in maritime consulting. If you want to be in a 5-8 month engagement on a tanker ship helping them navigate the ocean then it's a good move
Work life balance
Nice transition from long hour to normal hour consulting to eventually industry
I hear you...i was at pwc for a year and hated it. For much the same reasons as you...and a few other.
Slalom will let you try new things within reason. Dont expect to be put as a lead on a cloud architecture project if you dont have those skills. But you could be out on that as a secondary.
Also whether you end up doing strategy or operational improvement projects depends o how good the team at the office you are staffed are. If they can sell the work...them there is a chance you will get staffed on it.
Mid sized firms are good. Also look at West Monroe partners
None
Why dont you tell us what is leaving you unfulfilled at work and we can tell you if a small form will fix that
@S1, I want to work on more of a variety of projects. I've been on an implementation project for the last year and I haven't been able to get off. I feel like I'm getting pigeon holed and I've stopped learning. I suppose I'm just looking for a change and I'm slowly realizing it's not going to happen at PwC.
Slalom nailed most of the talking points for small/mid sized firms. Average project lengths are shorter. I usually throw out 3-4 months, but as with my consulting things... It depends. What city / type of work? If you are interested post a burner and I can shoot you a note to chat.
What's navigant
I hear Navigant has a decent client roster. Like everything else what's the pay like and how are the people you'd be working with and for.
Definitely significantly more per hour
About on par w big 4 coming in total pay
Clients range from smaller to about as big as big 4.
Big difference is you will be worming w smaller clients but you will have access to their cio/cfo easily and they will be more likely to implement your ideas
I have worked w clients that bring in about 15 million all the way to 150 million.
The rest have been big
