McKinsey & Company What are the best firms I should try to join if I’m interested in PE projects (CDD/VDD and value creation strategy for PE portfolio companies) in Consumer brands and retail?

Bain & Company Hey! Got dinged at BCG and Mck and then hadn't heard back from Bain, but just found out I made it to final rounds. I haven't been prepping for over a week as it'd be two since my first round at Bain.
Help! Whats different or similar about Bain final rounds? I'm applying to Texas offices for an experienced AC role. I also may have to have an accelerated final round as I'm leaving the country for most of April. Bain & Company

OC&C is pretty strong in Europe and so is Bain
I’d say so, the biggest deals are usually reserved to MBB, but I’m in MM as well so I wouldn’t know for sure
Working exclusively at the intersection of PE and consumer at a junior level is tough anywhere. My vote is Alix, MBB, LEK and Kearney in that order but will be geo dependent.
Which geo?
US/UK/EU - I’d be open to relocating since I also have dual citizenship US/EU country.
Bain or LEK (US only) for PE, BCG for consumer goods. K and Simon Kucher do a lot with consumer goods, RB is big in Germany & France, OW doesn't do much in consumers, McKinsey does everything. PWC/S& also do a lot of DDs
I have many friends at RB and the DDs are in B2B businesses and industrials/chemicals. They rarely do consumer goods/retail projects and when they do they are mostly restructuring engagements.
Bain PEG in US. They’re the gold standard.
LEK if interested in food and beverage deals within consumer
Unfortunately I think we’re on a hiring freeze rn
We’re strong in F&B, auto aftermarket, and a number of more niche areas in Consumer & Retail. Plenty of PE work on the diligence side, building up our portfolio of portco value creation. Worth a look.
^^
I don’t think it’s hard to do consumer DDs at LEK - just request it basically
