When is the best time to leave and go to another big4? I am at PwC and I knew the reputation they had and Some people said It may not be for me because of it. Ive been here a year and I feel as there right. My busy season is starting and I want to leave (not just because of my team) but as some of you may know getting along with the people you work with is a big part of wanting to stay at your job. I want to try to quit end of December and hoping to start a new position February.

So I was offered a role in Strategy Consulting in after 2 years in Risk Consulting however, after 2 years I’ve only worked on Internal audit engagements few ad hocs such as updating risk register and the delegation of authority matrix.

Honestly speaking I am doing good and I am up for promotion in October however I am not fully enjoying my time but I fear that the move would not be a good and I can’t hit the ground running which scares me.

Any advice and past experiences in such career shit?

If you lateral across the Big 4, e.g. Associate to Associate, can you negotiate a higher level-grade in your offer letter (i.e. Associate 2)?

Is it important to tell recruiters your end goal when first reaching out? For example, I’m interested in switching from litigation to transactional, but my eventual goal is to go in house. Is that important to mention or precarious? Would recruiters have insight into the best way to make that goal happen?

YOE: 11.5 Tech: QA Automation with Selenium-Java, BDD, API automation, Mobile Automation - Perfecto cloud, Appium. All the 11 years I am with automation only. Is it possible for me to learn new technology and switch. Recently acquired AWS cloud practitioner certification which is of no use to me now as they are asking for exp. Why is education deemed more valuable on a pay scale than experience? Employers will pay someone with a degree and no experience a greater salary, than someone who has exhibited the experience. Understanding that the degreed person committed to school and finished, yet that doesn't diminish what the not degreed has committed to and accomplished in their careers. This has to stop!
