Honestly, I’m unable to shop at Christian Louboutin due to racial profiling at their stores and department store counters. In any case, I wouldn’t wear recognizably expensive shoes if I were plaintiff’s counsel in a jury trial because they might make me seem unrelatable and not down to earth.
Sorry to hear that. That’s screwed up.
I got mine at a department store but in the future I’m 100% going to buy them from Ebay or Poshmark. Their resale value is terrible which is great for me. A lot of them are pretty much in new condition because they’re so uncomfortable to wear.
they’re a great look for impressing clients outside the courtroom but being less flashy in the courtroom wins
Agreed. Less is more in court. Look polished, but the recognizable brands may expose your client to unnecessary bias - on top of any existing bias. The risk is you can’t control whether the bias is in your favor. There are many characters to manage: client, opposing counsel, judge, staff, jury (if applicable). Judge and staff (bailiff, clerk, judicial assistant, etc.) tend to be close and talk behind the scenes.
I wouldn’t in a court room. That’s way too much.
Just not in front of a jury
Depends on the jury. I sat on a jury once and most were totally fascinated by the attorneys' clothing. They appreciated the stylish. 😊
Eh...if you want to, do it. Who is gonna judge? But that's awfully nice for court. But you may be going somewhere after so do it!
Do it
If not loubys , what shoes do you wear in the courtroom?
…any other kind of heel….
