What do you do if a client is out of state but wants a referral for a CPA, estate planning attorney, etc? I asked my local contacts but they are not licensed in the other state.

You need to develop contacts in the states where you do business-only problem is you may not get any referrals back from them

I don’t have anyone in my Office. Im solo. You all are my colleagues 😬. The clients would like a referral sooner rather than later so just trying to figure out how to proceed, research, etc

Unless you are working with public companies, you don’t need a CPA. You just need an Enrolled Agent. The EA I work with and refer clients to for tax work takes clients in all 50 states. Let me know if you want her info
