OP I make sure that my week is set up for success on Sunday by having a clean house, all of the laundry done, all my meals for the week prepped, and my to do list ready to go. I feel like when I go into the week prepared I feel more motivated and get way more accomplished then when I go into my Monday blindly.
That's a pretty good strategy. I generally have a few goals in progress, and at some point over the weekend I usually take stock of where I stand in their progression. To really get motivated for the week I usually start Monday morning by going over my calendar and thinking ahead to important events coming up that I need to prepare for. That usually get me energized.
I listen to podcast and read books about leadership/personal development/success principles.
Working towards goals with trusted folks to check in with and stay accountable to also helps to keep me going :)
As a leadership consultant, I teach my clients, and practice it myself, that the very first factor every day is to go into the day with deep awareness of self. Take that all important mental health self-awareness check and get your head in the game. Make sure your heart is aligned with your mission, your emotions are yours to control, and your spirit is other-centered. Walking into your day with a positive mental attitude and motivation will shape your daily, weekly, and longterm tasks and planning! So be void of "you" and focused on your people, business, and mission. Get yourself out of the way and aim your tasks and goals centered on what is best for your company, employees, and customers/clients. Do it all with your self-care in mind, emotional health and control in hand, and self motivation in place as you do any goal focused task preparation.
Personally, a find my morning shower the best time to set my head, emotions, and heart on that path before I do any task setting. A to-do task/goal list for the day, written or mentally developed, needs to be as empty of yourself as much as possible and focused on those that will be following you for effective leadership and task achievement to occur for the day! This will clear the way for positive, intentional, mission-centered motivation and progress to occur on a daily basis.
