[query] Is it a good idea to say a firm No due to medical reasons to a new night shift project I'm hired in?Accenture
I recently got a night shift project (2 days ago) that requires me to work from 10:30pm till 7:30am
I'm not comfortable with these timings and I'm thinking to ask my manager to put me on Bench (Due to medical reasons that involve mental health)
Is it a nice idea to say a firm No to a new project I'm hardlocked into, due to night shifts?

$300k for CD level? At a startup agency? Did you people smoke crack or what? Only big network agency with big client give that type of salary at CD level and it must be pretty rare. If you CDs get that were you are, don't move is money is what you want.
CD is a very large salary band based on many criteria. Generally, in NYC, CD starts at $180k to $280k max. GCD is $230 to $320, again wide range with many factors (type of agency, billing, # of people, reputation, etc..) that determine where you stand.
Seconding ECD1. Talk of 'min 300k' CDs is just trolling to make you feel bad.
300k us RIDICULOUS. Especially at a startup. Have you ever worked at one??? Ffs
Holy shit. I feel like my CDs are wildly underpaid.
Same as big shops. $300K min, plus shares. It costs what it cost to run a business.
Agree min 300. Or if it's a good opp 275 with bonus based on biz you win, client growth and performance. Plus equity.
Basically me and a small team of young creatives that I manage. The other departments are similar, a rockstar exec with a young team supporting them.
Holy shit, I might stay in advertising and try to make it to CD level afterall.
Good note ECD1.
I disagree. If a start up wants a CD with chops, they gotta pay, because that person is going to wear a lot of hat for a while. I wouldn't leave to go to a start@up unless the salary was better than what I make at the soul-sucking holding company gig.
Start up with super creative folks? From amazing shops?
Straight salary? Any other options? I would think they should pay you at least 300k as a base.
The gap between America and Europe is huge. $300K starting salary?! Wow. I'm in the wrong place...
OP is essentially the ECD at this start up, in NY. So 300k does not seem unfair to ask, especially if there is no bonus, etc.
Yes. And no it's not, not in NY. Not for the lead CD role. The question is what do we think is "fair." Reality is the salary is probably 200k, but 300k would be fair and competitive.
Just ask for equity
It depends on your experience and track record. And Don't ask for equity! That's totally stupid unless you know they're about to get bought or IPO.
Wow gcd's in NYC make 230-280? Apparently I'm in the wrong city of angels.
