What do you think of this Texas policy? Good idea or will it backfire on them?

I think it is well needed to keep the funds in check. In California we are out of control on illegal benefits and healthcare costs. So maybe it is a step in the right direction so the are aware of the amount of $ going towards healthcare costs servicing illegals? Would love to hear a non emotionally biased but actual analytical response from leaders.

I guess it's a good idea if you're aligned with their governor's fixation on state-sponsored bigotry. I don't know what would constitute it backfiring. I'm assuming it will be challenged in court, but that's the thing, they want the fight because that can make people angrier. And that's the goal.

Hmm I guess my question would be what is the point of asking them this? If it is to protect them then that is one thing but if not I definitely think this is not a good idea. I also think its going to be hard to know whether someone is lying or not.

Is this legal? My spouses company just decided to change their comp structure for account managers. It was base + comm, now it’s commission only but nothing changed, OT commission is the same, didn’t get more points, just took away the base pay and said work harder basically. So now they have to worker harder to get $50k they were already making. (Not a decision based on employee performance, they’ve been crushing it. I think the company is just trying to save money they overspent else where)
