What do you use to translate messages to send to patients who speak a different language? I used our interpreters once but it took a while just to get one message out.

We have an interpreter line that we use. They are actually pretty good. Does your hospital not offer something like that?

We have phone interpreters but messages are kind of different

We've got bilingual staff specifically for this. It's essential in Florida where there's a huge number of Spanish speakers. We've got an AI system too that we can use in a pinch, but it's obviously far better just having someone in the room who can translate what they're saying.

What if a bilingual staff member isn't nearby?

Years ago, when I worked at the corner of unhealthy and unhappy, they had a particular line. You could call—I think I used it one time, and it was very hard to use—but nowadays, I don't work in a place that requires it. But I think that with the apps on phones and everything, that would be a lot easier to do today.

Professional interpreters are still the safest option for clinical communication, but some organisations also use approved translation tools integrated into patient messaging systems.

I agree about professional interpreters!

Hi everybody! 😊
I've been working as a Junior Analog Design Engineer for a year and half.
I received a proposal for a Senior Analog Designer role from Bosch in the same city where I am currently working.
Should I wait and build up a few more years of experience before accepting a Senior role or should I jump in and work to fill the gap?
Next year, there will be an important deadline for the project I'm working on and my resignation could be critical for the team, how would you deal with it?

Okay. Possibly a stupid question BUT Imma ask anyway.

Can someone just explain how you plan out how much to bill so you can make sure it’s not a mad scramble at the end of year? I’m moving from a firm where I was lacking in any kind of mentorship. No one ever just sat down and explained the most efficient way to track/measure your hours to confirm that you are on track.

Is there just a secret excel spreadsheet that all lawyers have and I just missed the memo???

Our employee satisfaction survey is tied to our performance goals. Meaning, if we rate management badly, we cannot meet 10% of our goals which in turn affects our bonuses and raises. We asked HR but they didn’t do anything about it. Is this normal? Is this legal? If not, what else can we do about it?

I’m a certified Health Coach (my training/courses are CCE-accredited by the International Coach Federation) w/ a BS in Psychology. I got a temp to hire starting at $18/hr. It is my first professional health coach job & they did not require temps to have a coaching certification, but I have one. I’d like to know if temps could negotiate salary when given the job offer. The position is remote & I’d like $20/hr. I’ve invested in myself as a coach & plan to complete board certification by early 2023
