It depends.
If this is an employer plan, talk to your HR or Benefits Team and ask about appealing your Open Enrollment. Be honest as to why the desired changes were not made by the deadline (no need to be dramatic…but be honest).
They may be flexible and able to facilitate “some” of your requested changes. But it is also possible the answer will be no. Just depends on their plan rules and policies.
Otherwise, those would be the benefits you would have until either next Open Enrollment OR you have a Qualifying Life Event. QLEs are an opportunity to make mid year changes to your enrollment, but what benefits you can change likely will vary based the unique QLE. That is definitely a conversation to have with your internal team as each plan administrator has a set guideline of what QLEs are recognized by the plan, which benefits can be changed, and important dates that will be applicable.
