I never limited duration, but I did make a point to tell my managers/teams that I needed more lead time than I did previously. No more hopping on a flight early the next am. Too many logistics to juggle and coordinate

I haven’t. But take it trip by trip and ask for accommodations if needed. I think if you automatically set up boundaries it can come across as not being a team player, not doing your job (if travel is part of it), etc. whether that is fair or not. Also what may seem like a good idea when you lay out your terms may ultimately not be a good idea in practice. For example saying you can only be gone 2 days seems great, but ultimately would you rather do one week long trip or a bunch of 2 day max trips?
When my kids were babies it was 3 nights max.
Yeah two is even hard. I try for one but have definitely had to do two

It is very individual, and has to be workable for you. I asked for 2 days max per week. But it was very tough. I could do more travel after the first year.
I have set a 3 night max, but make exceptions for big pitches/emergency scenarios. Having family nearby to help out also really helps! But the mom-guilt struggle is still very real. 😉
