I would say owning real estate is a fantastic way to beat homelessness.
True and still I haven’t experienced any of the success I see others having?
High interest rates and high property taxes are the problem. Be mindful of those things when you are looking for real estate.
Real estate as an industry is not there to help the homeless - unless there are incentives - tax breaks, zoning clearances and government funding and then they will do the minimum needed to get those incentives. Landlords will not put you up or give you a break. A small number of shelter programs do provide pathway out.
As a career or as a way to build your independence, yes it is good because you will gain a tremendous amount of inside experience on housing and therefore be able to provide your own safety net as well as build equity.
I agree. I think the experience is what matters whether in a shelter program or not.

Live in one room and rent the other rooms to help pay your rent. But don't recommend buying a house without a cash reserve or access to capital
I’m searching for something like that now.
