You’re generally a manager most of the time for generally anything but not all of the time for some things some of the time.
Fairly senior - P&L ownership, 1-2 below C-suite. All these clowns making jokes.
I was feeling corny.
With your employers name, I thought you’d empathize.
The General Manager is usually the Manager who manages all the other managers. Jack of all trades, master of none.
Depends on industry. In some cases it can be SVP level with global P&L. Others it is only S. DIR level. Occassionally in mg, it is the senior person of a site.
In industry here at a FTSE 10 company. For us it varies. For smaller countries it is on a par with Director level, two steps from C suite. For bigger countries it is one step from C suite.
Depends on the company, startup vs enterprise. Usually quite senior, director level - manages an entire portfolio, region, or program. If startup, maybe senior manager level.
It’s very senior in sports. Also in a bar unless it’s a chain of bars.
It's off the top person of a retail store lol
Same as “senior manager” (and below Director) at Delta Airlines and some other companies
It’s pretty high up... once you are managing Generals where do you go from there???
