Hi Fishes, Right now I'm bursting my brains to make a decision which company to join and request your help. I have an offer from tcs for 13.5LPA and nagarro for 18LPA both for the role of associate project manager. I have been a lead at infosys with 8yoe. Keeping in mind that this is the first time i will be a manager please suggest which company is best to learn and secure as the global recession has already begun. No growth at my current job, have been told I deserve it for the last YEAR from my manager but just no budget. I loved my job and the people, but I couldn’t wait another year to *maybe* be promoted.
Tomorrow is my last day and I start a new job in a couple weeks with a major title bump. And it was reassuring to hear great things about my book from CCOs/similar roles at a handful of different opportunities, to honestly reassure me that it wasn’t me, it was the company I’m working for.
So if you’re unsure, just start putting feelers out and just have conversations. I didn’t rush it, it look me about 6 months to make the jump.

I’m with you. Right now, I’m ok with status quo BC I have small kids and need the flexibility and consistency of the job. But can I stay doing this long term? Absolutely not.
You answered your own question. Would start looking at new opportunities.
For 5 years?! FOH! I’d be out the door. Would not swallow staying more than 2 years without remit changing, new work+learning, or promo.
There should always be evolving benefit to you and movement.

Depends on why you’ve stayed this long... Financial stability, family obligations, sense of “safety” — work’s not questioned or pushed harder? Prioritizing your needs vs nice-to-haves should help find the answer.
If it’s only been due to the fear to jump — kill that sh.. now! :)

Leave for sure - if there’s no room for growth and no way your company is compensating you in other ways to promote your development, get out of there
