I make 95k a year, paid off all my debt and now have ~40k in savings (not including 401k). Currently living at home and think I want to rent an apartment now. Was looking to buy but I’m not ready/don’t think I make enough to do so in a HCOL area. Take home pay is about $5k after taxes. Is it dumb to get an apartment with $1.8k in rent? I think I can afford it, but curious to hear thoughts from others.

Where can I go to have someone explain everything like 401k and taxes and healthcare and other stuff I don’t even know to ask about like I’m 5. I know basically nothing and I’m 27. I give to my 401k and HSA but that’s all I know. I didn’t even start adding to or using the HSA til last year even though I spend like 5k a year in therapy out of pocket. F me. Just curious how many interviews did you go on before landing a job? Iv already had 5 different interviews where I make it to the final rounds and they just say they are going a different direction with someone with more experience. I have one that I’m waiting back to hear from and have a second round with Amazon. If I don’t get these I’m debating on if I should read/study leadership books to try and change my approach when answering these questions.
