Fastest way?
1. Attend on-campus recruiting
2. Get offers from at least 2 firms
3. Accept both offers
4. Work remotely at both jobs
5. Boom... $100K with 0 years of experience

Fastest way: F500 FLDP straight out of college
Second fastest: Big4 in San Jose, leave as a senior to a 100k job in tech
Can you get into FLDP after 1yoe and CPA?
I was an auditor for 4 years. I left at literally my 4 year mark and left for a role similar to internal audit for $100k. I worked at a national firm not big 4 but started my career at a really small public accounting firm
@pwc 2 - no problem ! If you have specific questions feel free to private message me.
@accountant 1 - I know this may sound silly but KNOW your resume. When interviewers start with tell me about yourself I usually use that time to give them a brief summary about how I got to my current role. If you control the interview that’s likely a good sign. And the types of questions you prepare are also super important. I left public for an industry I’ve never worked in but I think my confidence the skills I already have showed.
Safest way: stay at B4 until manager.
Not the fastest, but the least amount of external hunting and networking, etc.
FDD senior associate - total time at PwC since college 4.5 years just broke $100k this year.
1. Stick it out til senior at a B4 and if you look hard enough you can probably find $100K jobs as a senior accountant or senior financial analyst at a major corp or a manager at a small company
2. Stick it out til senior at a B4 and transition into their advisory/consulting arm or that of a smaller competitor and you’ll probably clear $100k after the switch as well
This. Can even clear $100k as non CPA in MCOL if jump to industry usually around 30% bump. Just depends on your experiences and how desperate the hiring managers are. Can confirm
I broke $100k base as a manager in industry. So 5.5 years. Mcol
You can break $100k total maybe in 3-4 years with a good exit and negotiate. (Sign on and bonus)
A friend of mine got a job where the base is like $130k after working in public accounting for 2 years - similar work, private firm.
What do they do for this private firm and how did they find the job?
Worked 4 years as B4 auditor, left for $90k and 15% target bonus.
