company is service based company.
my current title is senior analyst but they want to make me manager.
they are skipping tech lead and team lead positions.
they are ready to change 5 days working from earlier 6 days working.
they are asking me my expectations.
we are on client location and there is no one above us. Also team is not technically sound.FSS
Need help deciding if this offer is worth moving for. Received an offer from Booz Allen Hamilton for an Associate level Sr. Systems Engineer in Los Angeles for $135k base. I countered $150k and a $15k singing bonus and asked if I could be brought on as a lead associate since I've been a lead/manager for a while in my current company.
Current company TC: $125k in Utah.
YOE: 7 with M.S. and MBA
Is the switching cost/risk and higher COL worth it?

I work internally (non client facing) for Kpmg and heard the range is 2% to 7% which I thought was disappointing
Are you billable as an internal employee? If not 2-3% sounds just about right
3-20%
Shat did you do to get that kind of raise?
Sorry OP, deleted my post. Received 20%, $75-$90k. In demand skill set and a solid career advocate. Right place, right time.
What's your skill set?
Seriously? How does one justify a 20% raise for a non promotion year? What must have that associate done?
My biggest merit has been 12%
D breaks out merit vs promo, promo for me was like 4% on top of merit
That's in line with what I was getting in industry before consulting, so makes sense that internal roles would be similar
No I'm not
C1 on that fast track for partner. 😮
@c1 sounds like Accenture. They pay more than KPMG @op
Internal roles will always be lower as they never bring in money just cost money, I don't mean that to sound negative that's just the way it is 2%-3% annually sounds fair. I'm surprised by the 7% maybe if someone came in low. Highest non promotion raise I got was 14% in a client delivery role with high growth.
Well that's disappointing. I guess I'll have to try to get into consulting earlier than I planned.
Any advice?
@m2 what firm

Ohh nvm you were asking m2
