Very very high. On the top end higher than MBB though median and bottom are lower. It’s a smart model for a smaller sized firm (compared to MBB). Makes it very difficult to poach their biggest sellers.
Over 200k all in (not 100% sure how much more). Pay isn’t the reason to choose us. It’s our culture and lack of up or out.
I think AP1 is right that top producers can make more at OW than MBB, while average producers make less. (That said, average producers still make lots, and have a lot of autonomy and no up-or-out pressure - which may make it more sustainable for the long term.)
Rumor has it comp may change for partners but I’m not one so I have no idea the details.
Big thing for McK partners coming to OW: fit is a big thing. Many of us are very wary of outside partner hires.
A friend of mine who’s a partner in OW Middle East made 750-780k all in last year. That’s tax free $$$. However OW US and OW ME are very different beasts (but the high comp for rainmakers concept applies)
Btw as per my friend, it was a good year for him in terms of business.
McK1 - those numbers sound fairly normal. Not representative of the upper tail (globally or in ME), but somewhere in the body. Tax free sounds nice though.
Agreed. Now kill it could also be in terms of net take-home which is where no tax helps.
Based on a few discussions with current partners I’ve heard avg is ~$1M, with large variation between rain makers and less productive partners
